  1. The cottage was everything we expected and so much more! The bedrooms and bathrooms were all beautifully decorated and stocked with linens and towels! We also enjoyed the upstairs open floor plan and the beautiful view from the porch! Traci @ Beth Frazer Realty was awesome to deal with as we did not have any problems at all! An extremely smooth transition

  2. The two balconies and enormous windows overlooking the Neuse River were the main attractions of this beautiful cottage. The kitchen was very well equipped for home cooked meals, the house was very clean, the plush living room furniture was great for relaxing or napping, mattresses were comfortable and we loved sitting on the balcony with a drink and a good book. One day it was even warm enough for a dolphin sighting! Our daughter and her fiancé enjoyed fishing from the dock and caught several fish. The dogs and I loved sitting in the sand by the water nad walking around the quiet and beautifully maintained grounds. Oriental was 10 minutes away for local shopping and dining. The historic town of New Bern is only 25 minutes away and a wonderful day drip for sight seeing, museums, shopping and local restaurants. We enjoyed taking the ferry over to beautiful Beaufort for the afternoon and can’t wait to go back again for more delicious seafood and friendly locals. We loved it so much, we rented the same house in a two month period. Counting the days until we can get back.

  5. The cottage was lovely. If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded getaway, this location provides that. If you’re wanting to venture out to the Outer Banks, this is not the best spot. The cottage and river are beautiful, but the location is rather remote and not at all what I was expecting. Day trips to New Bern and Beaufort are totally doable but timing ferry rides to make it to Ocracoke — not so much.
